This may be what you’re actually experiencing when you think you’re experiencing Déjà vu (the sense of having seen something before). Deja Vecu is when you feel like you’ve seen an event before in great detail, like recognizing smells and hearing familiar sounds. Deja Vecu is also usually accompanied by a very strong sense of knowing what is coming next. -
2.
Ever had a word or phrase right on the tip of your tongue and just can’t spit it out? If so, you’ve experienced Presque Vu and you’re also probably getting blown up in the comments right now. This term actually means “almost seen” which is pretty on point because you’re seldom able to actually recover this thought. -
3.
This one refers to the belief that someone you know has been replaced by an imposter that looks identical. If you relate to this, you might be a schizophrenic. I’m not judging you though, either of you. -
4.
This one is similar to the previous, but the person isn’t an imposter. In this phenomena, you believe that one person is taking on the persona of many different people through disguise. -
5.
When you get the sensation you’ve already physically felt something before, you are experiencing Deja Senti. You may have actually experienced this and not remember, because part of the phenomena is attributed to the sensation not remaining in your memory once it happens. For that reason, this is probably attributed more to the lack of memory than to any unusual phenomena. -
6.
This phenomenon is when you have the unnatural knowledge of a new place. This might occur when you know your way around a town you’ve never visited before or a new landscape. This occurrence is described as being about spatial and geographic relationships. -
7.
Remember when you had that epic comeback—two minutes too late? Yeah, we’ve all been there. There is actually a term for this phenomena. I wonder how long after experiencing it the doctor actually came up with the name. Next time you return to the comments ten minutes later with your comeback, you have an excuse. -
8.
Essentially the opposite of Déjà vu, this is when you don’t recognize a familiar experience. This can actually be accompanied by more uneasiness because you know you’ve done this before, but have no recollection. -
9.
Some of us are terrible with names but remember every face. Some of us couldn’t tell people apart without name tags. People who experience this phenomenon can neither recognize faces or names and instead rely on other senses (such as smell) to identify people.
